This project is planned to respond to a major theme of the Manchester Schools Art Festival which is the traditional Nigerian story of the ABIKU.

This is a traditional story of groups of children from the spirit world‚ who inhabit the urban wastelands of cities and whose existence depends on enticing children from the real world‚ to join them. It is the sense of belonging to their home place that protects the children from the enticements of the ABIKU."
