To celebrate the re-launch of the Centre for the Urban Built Environment (CUBE), CUBE will present Future Landscapes – Under Construction. The exhibition will explore the most exciting architectural projects taking place in Manchester and the North West and will mark the start of a new innovative programme of exhibitions at CUBE. The exhibition will include major projects which are sure to permanently alter the landscape of the North West. The review will include Ian Simpson Architects’ iconic Beetham Tower, Will Alsop Associates radical Chips building, part of the innovative New Islington Millennium Community which will also be showcased in the exhibition. Also included will be Danish designers’ 3XNielsens stunning design for the Museum of Liverpool which will be built alongside ‘The Three Graces’ on the Liverpool Docks, as well as many other new buildings and developments. Taking visitors on an extraordinary journey, this is the first ever exhibition in Manchester to explore several of the landmark buildings all under one roof, which will shape our City’s future landscape. The exhibition will give the public a unique opportunity to view how their environment will be evolving and have their say regarding the regeneration of their City.
