Rupert Griffiths: BORDERLANDS
Exhibition continues to Sat 4 June
The assemblage of works which form Borderlands looks at the tensions at play between the over-determined and legible places in the city and those places that are under-determined and under the radar. Offering an interpretation of the cities derelict and hidden landscapes; the work draws particularly from those fragmented spaces found around roads, rail, river and canal systems, and the physical infrastructures of our post industrial spaces.

PLUS Exhibition: Manchester Society of Architects Design Awards 2011
Exhibition continues to Sat 21 May
The MSA exhibition is a showcase for the work of the architectural profession in the Greater Manchester region.

Venue: Castlefield Gallery
2 Hewitt St, Manchester, M15 4GB
Exhibition: On Measuring Uncertainty: Two person show with Kit Craig and Andrew Lim
Exhibition continues to Sunday 29 May
This intriguing exhibition features new sculptural pieces by both artists.  Craig’s references range from early computer programmers’ flow charts and a 16th Century hermit’s dwelling to a cryptic interpretation of Rembrandt’s Self Portrait With Two Circles. Lim’s pieces teeter on the edge of balance and collapse, rearticulating the use of everyday objects incorporating the gallery’s office furniture and tools.
