The New Arpley Proposals Project was developed as part of a public consultation on the future of Arpley landfill site in Warrington. Artist Ailie Rutherford worked in consultation with environmental restoration experts, local councillors, local residents groups and landfill opposition groups. Proposals considered community ownership, sustainable solutions to waste, low budget and low intervention methods for transforming the site with deliberately provocative proposals.
